Are you ready to experiment and practice with new models for living harmoniously with each other and the planet?

Are you someone who loves to help others and believe one of the best ways to do that is by doing what you are passionate about?

Can you face challenges with an attitude of gratitude; seeing both success and failure as valuable experiences in life?

Do you love to create, play, and have fun with other people?

Are you looking to be a part of a supportive, inspiring, challenging, and dynamic team dream?

Are you open to sharing your creative story with others?

If you answered yes to each of those questions, then you are in the same boat as I (Skye) am. Although many have offered their skills and gifts to The Bus conversion (now over 20!) we have yet to form the core team for creative direction of this community project.

What is a core character?

This team of eight will represent the core guiding characters to the transmedia storytelling adventure. Each will bring a unique set of creative gifts to the project – their flavour of service to offer and their way of telling one perspective of the story. This is done through whatever medium and sharing channel most excites each character and is limited only by our imaginations. Examples of creative mediums stretch from written narrative to poetry, music and video, photography and carpentry, dance and prop arts, painting and digital; really, anything! How do you like to tell your story?

What are the responsibilities?

As a core character, your role and the actions you take ripple out and influence the entire project. You are initiating and directing the co-creation of the story through a group consensus decision making model, with an open feedback loop to a larger community. Ultimately, you are responsible for representing the community with the integrity, respect, and honesty.

What are the perks?

  • Opportunity to live and travel in the bus
  • Chance to give input to all aspects of the project
  • Feature your creativity and art with the world to launch into a life doing what you love
  • Work with a fun, inspiring, and dynamic team as part of a larger community
  • Initiate new projects for The Collective Tribe
  • Oh! And you get to help choose a name for the bus 🙂

How can I apply or learn more?

If you have taken the opportunity to read through the words on these web pages and the core values, mission for the bus, and the transmedia story framework resonate with you, please contact Skye with your application, questions, comments, or any feedback.

In your application, send in your name, contact information, and answers to the following questions:

  1. How do you love to create?
  2. Today is your ideal dream day, what happens?
  3. What gifts do you bring to the team and how would you tell your story?
  4. What are you passionate about learning?

Submissions can take the form of any creative medium – use the questions as a framework or thread to guide your responses. Deadline is whenever the right fits happen and the spots fill, so get your application in right when you mean to!

Teamwork makes the dream work!
